I tried several parts of this trail in the last weeks, it is not as difficult at it may sound in the first place.
It starts with 2km flat street in the village of Oberstdorf, then it is smoothely ascending the Trettach valley for the next 8km to the turning point, then about 5km back the same way, then again 2km slightly ascending another valley. Then comes the only challenging part, a somewhat steep ascend of 1km. Then just down to Oberstdorf.
So, I plan to do it.
