Antwerp Marathon

Taking part in the DVV Verzekeringen Antwerp 10 Miles & Marathon is a common item on New Year’s resolutions and bucket lists in Belgium and abroad. Those who have had a taste of the event often return the next year with 28,000 of the 39,200 participants choosing for the 10 Miles. As always passages through the Kennedy tunnel and the Waasland tunnel speak to the imagination. The encouragement of thousands of spectators, the musical support and the slightly hypnotic effect of running in a massive group enabled even those who are suffering to see the light at the end of the tunnel(s).

ANTWERP MAYOR FINISHES ON 2017 MARATHON. Antwerp mayor Bart De Wever attempted his first ever marathon and didn’t disappoint his supporters. De Wever impressively completed the 42.195 km in 4 hours, 13 minutes and 25 seconds.
