The Paavo Nurmi Festival which has taken over the entire city will get a worthy ending when nearly 4,000 participants will run in the hectic city centre. The Paavo Nurmi Marathon offers three distances so that you can choose your favourite distance, or the one most suited to your fitness level. Challenge yourself or others, or just experience the joy of running – it’s up to you! Approximately 2,000 runners take part in the half marathon, which is the most popular distance of the Paavo Nurmi Marathon, and another 2,000 are split evenly between the 10K and the marathon.

Arī Pāvo Nurmi jeb Turku maratons nav atcelts, notiek plānotajā datumā – 22. augustā.
Iespējams, kādam interesentam nokļūšana (turpceļš!) var būt ērta, apvienojoties ar Helsinku maratona apmeklētājiem. Viņiem esot brīva vieta prāmja Rīga-Helsinki kajītē… ja to nav kāds paspējis aizņemt…
